Advanced Recovery Modalities

Modern recovery tools used strategically to support tissue recovery, nervous system regulation, and physical readiness as part of an integrated care approach, not guesswork.

At The Athlete’s Spa, recovery modalities are not used as standalone treatments or quick fixes. Selection and application are guided by assessment, training demands, and recovery needs, ensuring that technology supports, rather than replaces, hands-on care and movement-based interventions.

These modalities are commonly integrated alongside physiotherapy, fascia stretch therapy, and sports massage to support recovery efficiency, manage fatigue, and enhance overall physical resilience.

  • Cryotherapy

Brief exposure to cold temperatures used selectively to support recovery and manage fatigue.
Offered during selected weeks each quarter.

  • Whole Body Vibration Therapy

Applies mechanical vibration to support neuromuscular activation and recovery.

  • Blood Flow Restriction Training

Controlled application of pressure to a limb during low-load exercise or movement to support strength, muscle activation, and rehabilitation when higher loads may not be appropriate.

  • Light Based Recovery Tools

Uses light or heat-based technologies to support tissue health and recovery.

  • Other Clinician Directed Recovery Methods

The Athlete’s Spa utilizes other cliniciand irected recovery methods selected based on assessment, response to treatment, and individual recovery needs.
